Website redesign service

Website redesign that keeps the rankings the old site earned.

A new site on a modern stack, with every URL mapped and redirected, every template rebuilt for phones, and the search traffic the old site earned still arriving the week after launch.

What a redesign covers

Four parts of a redesign done properly

Pricing for website redesign

Redesign pricing, by size of site

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. A redesign is priced on how many pages and templates the current site has, and the tiers below are where most land. The URL map, the redirects and the post-launch ranking watch are in every tier, not an add-on.

Top-rated for three good reasons

Businesses looking for website redesign in Australia choose us for reasons we can put a number against.

Redesign without losing rankings

Most redesigns lose traffic for the same three reasons

The old URLs change and nothing redirects. Pages that quietly ranked get merged into a tidier structure. Nobody opens Search Console until the phone goes quiet, which is usually a quarter later, and by then the drop is hard to unwind. All three are avoidable, and all three are avoided the same way: start the redesign from what the current site already earns, then keep watching it after launch rather than only before.

  • Full crawl and ranking audit before any design starts
  • Every URL mapped, redirected and retested on staging
  • Ranking pages kept, even ugly ones, until the replacement proves itself
  • Search Console and GA4 compared daily for thirty days after launch

When to redesign

Redesign for a reason, not a birthday

A site does not need replacing because it turned five. It needs replacing when it is slow or unusable on a phone, when your team cannot edit it without ringing someone, when it describes services you stopped offering, or when a buyer cannot find the thing they came for. If only one of those is true, a redesign is the expensive answer. We will quote the fix instead, and put the reasoning in writing.

  • A speed, mobile and content audit before we quote anything
  • A refresh rather than a rebuild where the structure still works
  • Content and navigation fixed first, because that is usually the problem
  • A written answer if the current site is good enough

Frequently asked questions

Will a website redesign hurt our Google rankings?

No, not if the URLs are mapped and redirected, the pages that rank are kept, and Search Console is watched after launch. Redesigns lose traffic when one of those three is skipped. We do all three on every tier, and send a comparison of rankings, traffic and enquiries at thirty days.

What happens to our old URLs in a redesign?

Every one of them gets a 301 redirect to the closest page on the new site, listed in a map you can read before launch. Old PDFs and spec sheets are included, because they often carry the links. After launch we crawl the site again to check nothing redirects twice or lands on a 404.

Can we keep our current content?

Yes, and most of it usually should stay, especially anything that already ranks. We migrate it, cut the repetition and restructure it around what buyers search for. Where a page is thin or out of date we flag it and quote copywriting, which is included for ten pages on the top tier.

How much does a website cost in Australia?

Most Australian agencies charge A$3,000 to A$10,000 for a small business site. We start at A$2,000 for a five-page build and publish the full price list. Cheaper options exist around A$400 to A$1,000, but those are templates with no strategy and usually no support.

How long does it take?

21 days from the day we have your content. Content is almost always the bottleneck, and we will tell you that before we quote rather than after.

Do I have to move off WordPress?

No. We build on WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce or Next.js depending on what the site needs to do. If your current site works and only needs one part fixed, we will say so.

Are we locked into a contract?

No. Builds are fixed price, and the monthly plans are month to month. You own the domain, hosting and code in your own accounts throughout.
