Websites for wholesalers and distributors
Wholesale website design for customers who order every week.
Your customers already know what they want and what they paid last time. A wholesale site should let them log in, see their own prices and reorder in a minute, with stock that matches the warehouse. We build B2B ecommerce websites on WooCommerce and Shopify, connected to the inventory system you run.

What a wholesale build covers
Four parts of a B2B ecommerce website

Trade pricing behind a login
The public sees the range and, if you choose, a list price. An approved account sees its own price list, pack sizes and minimum quantities. New customers apply online and you approve them by hand, so a competitor cannot register and read your price file. A trade store with customer price lists starts at A$7,500. Purchase order checkout on account terms comes with the wholesale platform tier above it.

Reordering from history
A wholesale order is often last month's order with two lines changed. So the account page opens on order history, with a button that rebuilds any past order into a cart. Larger accounts can paste part numbers into a quick order pad or upload a CSV from their own purchasing system. Invoices and statements sit behind the same login, which means fewer calls to your accounts desk asking for a copy.

Stock sync with Unleashed, Cin7, MYOB or Xero
The site should not sell what the warehouse does not have. Stock levels and customer pricing are read from Unleashed or Cin7, orders are written back as sales orders, and invoices follow into Xero or MYOB. We scope the sync before quoting: which system owns the price, how often stock updates, what happens to a backorder. Left until launch week, those decisions are where most of the trouble comes from.

Catalogues with thousands of SKUs
A buyer facing six thousand lines will search, so the search has to work. We index part numbers, supplier codes and the names your customers use for things, so a buyer can paste a code and land on the product. Filters come from real attributes such as size, thread or voltage. Product data arrives by import from your inventory system or a spreadsheet, because typing six thousand descriptions by hand is a job nobody finishes.

Top-rated for three good reasons
Businesses looking for wholesale website design choose us for reasons we can put a number against.
300+ websites, six years
Enough builds behind us to know what breaks, and enough of them still running to know what lasts. Trade, industrial, ecommerce and B2B.
One team, three disciplines
Design, development and search marketing under one roof. Most businesses this size pay three suppliers who have never spoken to each other, and nobody owns the result.
Published pricing, no lock-in
The price list is on the site before you call, builds are fixed price, and the monthly plans are month to month. You own the domain, hosting and code throughout.
B2B buying
A B2B ecommerce website is used differently from a shop
A retail customer browses, compares and might buy. A trade customer arrives knowing the part number and wants to be gone in two minutes. That changes nearly every design decision. Search matters more than the homepage. One table of forty lines with quantity boxes beats forty product pages. The price depends on who is logged in, and payment is usually an invoice on account terms where a retail store would take a card. A retail theme put in front of trade customers tends to send them back to the phone, and the owner then decides the customers do not want to order online. Usually the customers were willing. The store had been designed for somebody who shops, and they were there to restock.
- Search by part number, supplier code or description
- A quick order pad and CSV upload for long orders
- Account terms and purchase order numbers at checkout
- Prices, pack sizes and minimums set per customer group

Before you build
When a custom website for distributors is the wrong purchase
Sometimes the cheaper answer is already in software you pay for. Unleashed sells a B2B Portal add-on that shows customers their pricing and stock availability and takes orders straight into the system. Cin7 has a B2B portal of its own. Shopify now includes its B2B features on every plan, though its documentation limits plans below Plus to three catalogues, which is too few if you run a dozen price lists. If one of those covers what your customers need, use it and keep the money. A custom build earns its cost in two situations: the public catalogue has to be found in search, or your pricing and ordering rules are stranger than a tier system allows. Plenty of distributors are in neither.
- Check your inventory system's own portal before commissioning one
- Count your price lists before choosing Shopify below Plus
- A custom build where the public catalogue needs to rank
- WooCommerce where pricing rules or the checkout need changing

Frequently asked questions
How much does wholesale website design cost?
A catalogue site without ordering starts at A$4,500. A trade store with logins and customer price lists starts at A$7,500, and a wholesale platform with account applications, purchase order checkout and live stock sync starts at A$12,000. Shopify, payment and inventory software fees are billed to you by those providers. You get one fixed quote for the build, in writing, before we start.
Can the site sync stock with Unleashed, Cin7, MYOB or Xero?
It can. Stock sync with Unleashed or Cin7 is part of the wholesale platform scope, and orders and invoices into Xero or MYOB are included from the trade store tier. We look at your setup first and tell you which parts will be awkward. Where a system has no usable API, a scheduled export every hour or every night is usually close enough.
Shopify or WooCommerce for a B2B ecommerce website?
WooCommerce for most wholesalers, in our view, because customer pricing and purchase order checkout can be shaped to the way you already trade. Shopify has closed some of the gap: its B2B features are now on every plan, with three catalogues below Plus. If three price lists cover you and you would rather not think about hosting, Shopify is a fair choice.
Can we hide wholesale prices from the public?
Yes, all of it. Prices, stock and the add-to-cart button can sit behind a trade login, with the public seeing the range and a prompt to apply for an account. You approve each application yourself. Some wholesalers show a list price in public and the account price after login, which helps the catalogue get found in search without showing what your best customers pay.
How do you load a catalogue with thousands of SKUs?
By import. Products, prices and attributes come from your inventory system or a cleaned spreadsheet, and images are matched to part numbers. A trade store build includes loading up to 500 products, with larger catalogues quoted per hundred. Expect the data to need work first. Missing images and inconsistent descriptions are normal, and sorting them out can be half the project.
Will our trade customers order online?
Some will, and some will keep ringing. Buyers who place the same order every month tend to move across first, because reordering from history is quicker than a call. A customer who likes talking to their rep can keep doing that, and on the wholesale platform tier the rep can place the order for them through a sales login. Plan on running both for a year.
