Websites for fabricators and engineers
Engineering website design that shows what your shop can make.
Fabrication and machining work is won on capability: what you can cut, bend, weld and machine, how big and how accurately. We build websites for fabricators and engineering shops that state it in numbers, list the machines and certifications, and take a drawing with the quote request.

What a fabrication build covers
Four parts of a metal fabrication website

Capability and machine lists
A buyer wants to know whether the job fits your shop before they send it. So the laser gets its bed size and maximum thickness by material, the press brake its tonnage and bend length, the machining centre its travel. We set machine lists out as tables that read on a phone, with a page for each service above them. That table answers the question most fabricator sites leave to a phone call.

RFQ forms that take a drawing
A fabrication enquiry without a drawing is a conversation. With a drawing it is a job you can price. Our quote forms accept DXF, STEP and PDF files up to 50MB, then ask for material, thickness, quantity, finish and delivery date, so the request reaches your estimator complete. Fitted to an existing site, the form starts at A$2,000 and is live in about 14 days.

Certifications and tolerances
Write tolerances as numbers, and name standards by number too: AS/NZS 1554 for structural steel welding, AS/NZS ISO 3834 if your weld quality system is certified, AS/NZS ISO 9001 for quality management. If Steelwork Compliance Australia has certified you to a construction category under AS/NZS 5131, say which one, because an engineer specifying CC2 or CC3 work will look for it. Certificates go up as PDFs with the expiry date showing.

Your quoting, seen from outside
Few shops have looked at their own quoting from the buyer's side: what the form asks, how long the reply takes, what the buyer hears while they wait. Our guide to the RFQ process for manufacturers covers that ground. Read it before you spend anything with us. Some of the fixes take an afternoon and the website you already have, and you may find that is all you needed.

Top-rated for three good reasons
Businesses looking for engineering website design choose us for reasons we can put a number against.
300+ websites, six years
Enough builds behind us to know what breaks, and enough of them still running to know what lasts. Trade, industrial, ecommerce and B2B.
One team, three disciplines
Design, development and search marketing under one roof. Most businesses this size pay three suppliers who have never spoken to each other, and nobody owns the result.
Published pricing, no lock-in
The price list is on the site before you call, builds are fixed price, and the monthly plans are month to month. You own the domain, hosting and code throughout.
Before the RFQ
What an engineer needs to see before sending a fabricator a drawing
Sending a drawing takes some trust. It may carry a customer's design, and the engineer sending it has to justify the choice of supplier to somebody else. Before the upload they look for evidence that the job fits. Is the part inside your size and thickness range? Do you work in that material? Have you made something like it, with photos to show for it? On structural work the engineer also sets a construction category under AS/NZS 5131, from CC1 for the lowest risk up to CC4. A fabricator certified by Steelwork Compliance Australia can take work at or below its certified category. If your category is not on the site they have to ask, and some of them will ask the next shop instead.
- Size, thickness and weight limits for each process
- The materials and grades you cut, form and weld
- Your construction category and certificate, where you hold one
- Past jobs shown with material, dimensions and what was done

Job shops
A job shop sells capacity, so the site should describe the shop
A job shop has no product to photograph. It sells machine time and the skill of whoever runs the machine, which is why so many fabricator websites end up as a gallery of finished handrails with no captions. The captions are where the information is. A photo labelled 316 stainless, 6 mm, TIG welded, 40 units tells the next buyer more than a paragraph about quality. The machine list works the same way. Say one thing for a machine list, say it is hard to exaggerate: the laser either takes a 3 by 1.5 metre sheet or it does not. Buyers tend to trust a page like that, and it takes ten minutes to update when a new machine arrives.
- Every project photo captioned with material, thickness and quantity
- A machine list your office can edit when the floor changes
- Typical lead times by job type, given as a range
- A named contact and direct number for urgent work

Frequently asked questions
How much does a metal fabrication website cost?
Builds start at A$2,000 for five pages. A fabricator with several services, a machine list and a project gallery usually needs the A$4,500 tier, which covers up to 20 pages. Sites with quoting tools, portals or integrations start at A$7,500. We agree the figure with you before any work begins, and you can have a free audit of the current site first.
Can customers upload drawings with a quote request?
Yes. The RFQ form accepts drawings and photos up to 50MB, including DXF, STEP and PDF, and attaches them to the enquiry your estimator receives. It also asks for material, quantity and due date, so the request arrives ready to price. Uploaded files are kept out of public folders, which matters when the drawing belongs to your customer's customer.
Do you know fabrication well enough to write our site?
Well enough to ask the right questions, and not well enough to guess. We know what buyers look for and which standards they expect to see named. We do not know your tolerances or your machines until you tell us, so nothing technical is published until someone in your shop has checked it. A wrong thickness on a capability page costs more than a typo.
Should we list our machines and tolerances publicly?
Yes, in most cases. The shops down the road already know what is on your floor, and buyers do not. A published machine list turns away work you cannot do and brings in work you can, which saves your estimator time either way. Leave off anything a customer contract restricts, and only state general tolerances you hold on an ordinary day.
Which certifications should a fabricator's website show?
Show the ones you hold, by number, with the certificate attached. For many shops that is AS/NZS ISO 9001 for quality management, welding to AS/NZS 1554, and any certification to AS/NZS ISO 3834. Structural fabricators should add their AS/NZS 5131 construction category. Do not list a standard you only follow loosely. Buyers ask for the certificate, and that is an awkward call to take.
How long does engineering website design take?
A five-page site is live 21 days after your content arrives. A full capability site takes longer, and the date is set when we quote. Machine lists and project photos are what hold things up, so we send a spreadsheet template for the machines and ask for photos straight off a phone. If you have a capability statement PDF, we start from that.
